1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PowerHit ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the PowerHit mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, date of birth, city/state, and password (stored securely).
• Video & performance data: videos you upload of your batting, bowling or keeping, along with the technique scores, joint-angle measurements, and comparisons our AI generates from them.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app — features used, drills completed, leaderboard activity, and session information.
• Device information: device type, operating system, and app version, used for support and reliability purposes.
• Payment information: subscription and billing details are handled by Google Play (and, when available, the Apple App Store) — we do not directly store your full card details.
• Parent/guardian information: where a user is under 18, we may collect a parent or guardian's contact details for consent and communication purposes.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide the core Service: analysing your video, generating technique scores, drills, and pro-player comparisons;
• To operate accounts, subscriptions, and the free trial;
• To personalise your experience, including progress tracking and recommendations;
• To maintain leaderboards and public profile features you opt into;
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests;
• To improve our AI models and Service quality, generally using de-identified or aggregated data where possible;
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Video & AI Processing

Videos you upload are processed by our AI systems to detect body position and movement and generate technique feedback. Videos are stored on secure cloud infrastructure for as long as needed to provide the Service (for example, so you can review past uploads and track progress over time), and are only accessible to you, our automated systems, and — where you request it — a human coach reviewing your footage for feedback. We do not sell your videos. See Section 9 for how to request deletion of your video data.

5. Children's Privacy & Users Under 18

• PowerHit is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users between 13 and 18 should use the Service with a parent or guardian's knowledge and consent.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
• For users we know to be under 18, we limit the personal information displayed in public contexts (such as leaderboards) and do not use their data for targeted advertising.
• Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information without appropriate consent can contact us at help@powerhitapp.com to request review or deletion.
• We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in a minor's use of the Service, including decisions about uploading video and participating in public leaderboards.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, storage, and payment processing providers, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
• Certified coaches you choose to request feedback from, limited to the footage and information needed to provide that feedback;
• Legal authorities, where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
• A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy continuing to apply to your information.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and video data for as long as your account is active, so you can track progress over time, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

9. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & correction: you can review and update your account information within the app.
• Deletion: you can request deletion of your account, videos, and associated data by contacting help@powerhitapp.com.
• Export: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Leaderboard opt-out: you can make your profile private at any time from within the app.
• Marketing communications: you can opt out of non-essential emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

10. Cookies & Analytics

The powerhitapp.com website may use basic cookies and analytics tools to understand site traffic and improve the website experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The mobile app may use similar technologies (such as local storage and analytics SDKs) to remember preferences and understand feature usage.

11. International Users

PowerHit is built and hosted primarily for users in India. If you access the Service from outside India, your information may be processed on servers located in India or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
